No Excuses, It Just Is What It Is

While on my way to visit my son at college I realized I never came up with a topic for this week.  I didn’t write or research one thing.  I said to my husband, “Oh shit, I never came up with a blog for this week!”  Then I laughed!  Really, really laughed.  There was nothing I could do about it.  This was the situation I got myself into and I had to deal with it.

A few years ago, this would have been a disaster.  The thought of not being organized and not having something finished that should have been would have upset me terribly.  I probably would have stayed up all night procrastinating even more, then researching and writing to finally go sleep around 4am or so.  Not this time.  This would not ruin my weekend.

My week did not consist of anything that should have de-railed me from writing.  In fact, it was quite a nice, lazy and relaxing week.  I took a ton of yoga classes, studied for my certification, caught up on a lot stuff in my DVR, watched my daughter dance at church, sat in the freezing pouring rain to watch my son play lacrosse and spent quality time in the car with my husband.  I wouldn’t change one thing.

As I look back on my week it was all about me and doing things that make me happy.  Whether I took time to meditate or play Mahjong with my friends, I regret none of it.  Watching my daughter sparkle and shine as she danced in church was both spiritual and beautiful.  Seeing my son play his first college lacrosse game on home field was emotionally overwhelming and amazing.  These are 2 off the charts memories that will be forever embedded in my brain.  They will win over not writing my blog every single time.

You may be reading this and thinking, “Who cares?” LMAO! I might not even blame you, but I care. My writing holds me accountable for my actions and decisions, whether they are good or bad. It teaches me lessons about myself and how I am growing as a person. This week I realized, maybe I don’t have to write every week. I rather send out quality content on occasion and not so much “fluff” weekly.

If there is a topic you would like to read about, please get in touch with me.  If there are nutrition, diet, lifestyle or autoimmune questions or issues you have, please get in touch with me.  I am always looking for new topics my readers and potential new readers would be interested in, please, help a girl out 😉 https://ketolupie.com/get-in-touch/
