The keto diet is a high fat, moderate protein, very low carb lifestyle that helps reduce systemic inflammation and regulate your immune system so you can begin your healing journey.  You will remove foods that may be contributing to your condition and replace them with nutrient dense, delicious foods that will help to reduce inflammation and bring your body back to balance.

In addition to diet, we will work to restore your gut health, optimize sleep, develop stress management techniques and a positive mindset.  These are all important tools to your personalized healing journey

Living with an autoimmune condition is hard.  Flareups are unpredictable, and you may feel sick and exhausted on a regular basis.  You can no longer enjoy your regular activities and your life has been turned upside down. 

Doctors offer no information or support other than what medications you can take that may or may not help manage your symptoms.

Certain foods will be eliminated because they can include compounds that cause systemic inflammation and increased intestinal permeability (leaky gut).  Research shows that leaky gut and gut dysbiosis (too many bad gut bugs) have been found in every autoimmune disease in which they have been studied.

Even though the keto diet is restrictive, you will still be able to eat a lot of delicious foods.  This includes quality proteins, vegetables, and healthy fats.  The idea is to feed your body the most nutritionally dense foods possible to help set your body up for healing.
